Apparently the actress even spent a couple of days living in a chawl in Mumbai for the shoot.
Basking in the glory of her recent film, Laddoo being one of the 7 short films chosen to be screened at the prestigious MAMI film festival, Manasi hopes for a similar fate for her upcoming film, she shares, ‘Laddoo struck a chord with the audience & I still get messages from people for the sweet story. This time around it is a rather sensitive & thoughtful topic that will highlight plight of women from the slums. It had to feel right & real so we chose to shoot it with them. I practically lived there for 3 days, I wore a dress that belonged to one of those women there sans make up. It is a first for me & I’m lucky to be a part of such a powerful story telling that will make a difference.’
The short film is directed & written by Ritam Shrivastav. Manasi to play alongside Secret Superstar fame actor Raj Arjun.
