MUMBAI: Actor Tejasswi Prakash, who is the face of one of the teams of Kunal Thakkur and Mrunal Jain’s Tennis Premier League, is ecstatic at being associated with the tournament. The actor adds that representing a team makes her feel responsible for them as well.
‘It feels great and I feel somehow responsible. I also want to be somebody who loves her team and I would like to be with them until the end. The experience has been amazing. Tennis is a hardcore game and it requires great stamina,’ says Tejasswi, who is even learning tennis.
Talking about the scenario of sports in our country, she says, ‘I think it has been getting better. Our players are performing well in the Commonwealth Games. I think it will get better in future. With encouragement and better facilities, I think the country will reach heights.’
Ask her who her favourite tennis player is, and she says, ‘Roger Federer is my favourite tennis player. He steals my heart with his skills and the ways he conducts himself in and off the field.’
The actor wants to be part of a sports-based show. ‘I am not a sports kind of person but I have played basketball for my college. I am a big-time football fan and I support Chelsea. I would love to do a sports-based show,’ she says.
Meanwhile, the actor is busy with her current show. ‘I am doing a show called Karn Sangini, which will be aired on Star Plus very soon. It’s a mythological show,’ she says.
