Recently launched &TV’s Tujhse Naraz Nahi Zindagi (Fremantle) portrays stories based on real life incidents in the format of a chat show.
And soon the show will come up with two interesting plots; one will focus on the issue of child marriage while the other will focus on sexual violence against women.
For the story of child marriage talented and popular child actor Sparsh Khanchandani has been roped in to essay the role. Based on the real life story of Kalpana Saroj, who got married at the early age of thirteen years, Sparsh will be seen essaying the role of child bride, who will fall victim of domestic violence.
When we spoke to Sparsh’s mother, she mentioned, “Mrs. Saroj was married at a tender age and came to Mumbai post her marriage and then on she faced abuses from her husband and finally she decided to fight back against it. Sparsh, who essayed the character, got very emotional as she realized the pain of the young woman.”
And for the second theme, which is a story of women empowerment, Prerna Wanvari will be seen essaying the central role. Prerna will be seen portraying the character of a conservative Muslim woman, Zeenat, who will be seen fighting against her husband, who raped a ten year old girl. Scared about the future of her own children she will be fighting against her husband for the right of her neighbour’s daughter, who will fall victim of her husband’s abuse.
When we contacted Prerna, she commented, “Portraying such a character is emotionally very taxing as, one has to get into the shoe of the character, who is fighting against her own husband. But, at the same time it is inspiring as well, since a woman alone is fighting for what she believes to be right.”
Both the sequence will air soon.
