Diwali is the festival of light, festivity and celebration. And none of it is complete without sweets. During this auspicious occasion people prefer making sweets at home, rather buying it.
So to help you in preparing a mouth watering dish, we spoke to the pretty Shritama Mukherjee.
The gorgeous actress who is currently seen in Star Plus’ Kuch Toh Hai Tere Mere Darmiyaan turned chef forTellychakkar.com and her fans.
When we buzzed Shritama, she quipped, “There are a few favourite dishes of mine, but I am very good in preparing Bhindi Masala. But as Diwali is here I will share my special Sooji ka halwa dish.”
“Heat a deep pan on medium flame and add ghee. When it melts, add the Sooji and mix well. Roast the Sooji (stirring frequently) till it begins to turn golden color. Now add the cashews and raisins to the Sooji and mix well. When the Sooji is roasted, gently add the hot water and sugar, stirring all the while to prevent lumps from forming. Cook the mixture till it is thick. Turn off the heat and allow the mixture to cool. Serve now in individual bowls,” ended the actress.
