Pretty and confident, Roop Durgapal, might not be many shows old, but the lady has already earned accolades for her performance in Swaragini and Balika Vadhu.
Last seen in Swaragini as Kavya, Roop is one dedicated soul, who is ready to walk the extra miles for her work. Suffering from acrophobia (fear of heights) and pyrophobia (fear of fire), the lady has overcome all to portray her scenes convincingly.
Roop had to perform some exciting scenes for the show, where she had to hang from high height and for another scene her veil caught fire. But the brave heart did it all.
Sharing the experience, Roop chatted, “I am really scared of both height and fire. But I always knew that I should perform the job given to me. Though initially scared, I did it all. And now, after performing for those scenes, I think I have overcome all my fear and I can now do anything.”
After donning two negative roles, Roop is now keeping an eye on positive characters. “Post Balika Vadhu and Swaragini, I am really hoping to do a positive role now. But, I think that I have portrayed negative roles in a much empathetic way. Perhaps that is the reason why makers don’t consider me for positive character (laughs).”
We wish you all the best, lady!!!
