Time for some romance on TV…
Wondering why do we say so?
Well readers, Colors Bangla is all set to launch a new love story titled Bhalobasha Bhalobasha with music as its background.
Produced by Blue Water Pictures, it also marks the script writing career of Nilanjanaa Senguptaa, better half of one of the popular actors of T-town, Jisshu U Sengupta.
“Bhalobasha Bhalobasha is a very important journey in my life of which music and romance are integral part. Romance has also played an important role in my life and somewhere, Jisshu has introduced me to music in a big way. So, it’s a musical love story which will bring back nostalgia,” Nilanjanaa said at the press meet of the serial.
Supporting his wifey dear, Jisshu, who was also present at the occasion, echoed, “Love and music go hand in hand. When we fall in love there is a certain song that we feel or identify with. Love and music share a deep bonding. Bhalobasha Bhalobasha is an out-and-out love story where two people find love through music.”
Nilanjanaa also added that her love story is very much inspired by the film ‘Serendipity’.
She shared, “One of our (she and Jisshu) favourite films is ‘Serendipity’ which means ‘a fortunate accident’. Our life is inspired by that movie. It was a fortunate accident for me to meet Jisshu and for Jisshu to meet me. That’s how our romance started. We always believed that we were meant to be and that’s why we got together. Similarly the premise of the story is that when two people are meant to be, destiny will bring them together. However, we have not copied the story from the film.”
The actors to essay the lead roles are Rupsha Mukhopadhaya, Laboni Bhattacharee and Suvajit Kar.
Now coming to the plot, it will trace the journey of three people- Anu (Rupsha), Oli (Laboni) and Rishi (Suvajit), whose lives are connected. Anu, a beautiful girl, is a brilliant singer while Oli, who is not as attractive as Anu, is malicious at heart.
Rishi, a rock-star from Kolkata, would leave his successful career in the city and travel to the village where Anu and Oli reside. He would be overwhelmed after hearing Anu’s soulful voice. He would want to launch her as a new voice in the city of joy.
As the story progresses, their lives will collide connecting them with the common thread of love. With multiple twists and turns, how this collision alters the lives of the trio is for viewers to find out.
Directed by Tamal Maity, it will start from 9th May, airing Monday to Saturday, 5.30 pm.
