Sphereorigins’ social drama Balika Vadhu (Colors) has been the longest running serial on television.
And as wise men have often said that all good things come to an end, same seems to be the fate of Balika Vadhu.
Amidst the buzz that the series will soon go off air, we have some information to share with our readers.
While the producer, the actors and the channel have denied in the media about Balika Vadhu shutting shop, we hear, that the show will take a leap of fifteen years with fresh cast.
As per our sources the show will come back with its second season, narrating the story of another protagonist named Anandi, who fights with the evil of child marriage.
Coming to the actors, we have been informed that Surekha Sikri (Dadisa), Toral Rasputra (Anandi) and Rajeshwari Sachdev (Mangala) will soon make an exit from the show. While Mangala and Dadisa will be shown dead, the fate of Anandi’s character is yet not confirmed.
When we contacted the veteran star Sikri, she shared, “Balika has been one phenomenal journey for me. With my character coming to an end, I look forward to some more challenging roles”.
Though we couldn’t reach Toral, Rajeshwari, however confirmed the development.
We have dropped a message to the producer, Sunjoy Wadhwa, but have not received any revert till the time of filing the article.
