Celebrating Sajid Wajid’s 20 years in the industry, renowned Sufi singer, Raahat Fateh Ali Khan announced their Studio on the show
Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, India’s first and the most iconic singing reality show brings together the best untapped talent in the country and provides them with a platform to begin their careers as playback singers. The episode to be telecast on Saturday, 18th June at 9:30 PM is a tribute to 20 years of the mentors Sajid-Wajid’s journey in the music industry, they announce the launch of their music school that will train singers called the ‘Taaleem Studio by Sajid Wajid’. The Studio is a part of their endeavour of grooming talent with good vocals to become singers. The Top 8 contestants of the current season of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ will constitute the first batch of the Taaleem Studio.
To celebrate Sajid & Wajid’s completion of 20 years in the industry, renowned Sufi singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and popular singers like Babul Supriyo, Shaan, Javed Ali & Mamta Sharma presented an entertaining non-stop tribute to the music composer duo. With the original singers of popular songs like Main Tenu Samjhawa, Dagabaaz Re, Raat Ke Dhai Baje, Tere Bina Jiya Jaye Na, Jaane Nahi Denge Tujhe, Chittiya Kaliya and Tere Naina Bade Kaatil bringing the house down, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ will certainly pack in a treat for every music lover this weekend.
Music composers Sajid & Wajid said, “Our initiative is aimed at mentoring budding singers as there are some techniques and specialised knowledge that students of music won’t easily have access to. There aren’t adequate platforms that provide the kind of grooming we plan to give our students. We plan to leverage our experience from the industry and add value to their journey from students of music to well-rounded music professionals. The Top 8 were made the first students of the Studio and we look forward to many more youngsters honing their vocals with our training. I am thankful to all the singers and Rahat Sahab for announcing the Studio and I am grateful to Shaan, Babul Supriyo, Mamta Sharma and Javed Ali, who paid us a musical tribute. It was touching, to say the least.”
